NYMSTF Events

The NYMSTF event series supports rider education, awareness, rights, culture, sport, history and comraderie through hosted lectures, presentations and movies.

Events are held Monday evenings at Bar Matchless, a truly unique bar housed in a former auto repair shop.  The bar offers 16 tap lines with a classic menu featuring wings, sliders (beef, veggie, pork or chicken), salads,  sandwiches, ribs, chili and more.  Most items are under $10.  Bar Matchless is at 557 Manhattan Ave. (corner of Driggs Ave.) in the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn, a short walk from the G and L trains.

Next Event:  Drinks and Dakar!

Hang out with us on January 16, have a beer, a burger, and watch fresh videos of the Dakar Rally!  We've arranged for a big screen, and all the stage videos to play, and some great deals on food and drink.  Join other NYC enthusiasts as we watch recaps and highlights of the 2012 Dakar.  No lectures, no worksheets -- just video, friends, drinks, and motorcycle chat.

If you aren't familiar with the Dakar Rally, it's the biggest, most audacious Motorsport spectacle in the world!  For two weeks in January (every year since 1977), cars, trucks, quads and (yes!) motorcycles race through the deserts and environs of South America, from Mar Del Plata on the Atlantic coast of Argentina to Lima, Peru.  If you watch it once, you'll be hooked!

Monday 1/16/2012 7:00pm-11:00pm at Bar Matchless, 557 Manhattan Ave., Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Tickets are $5 per person in advance or $8 at the door.  Cash bar and great pub grub under $10!

When you come in, head for the back room.

NYMSTF Event Punch CardNew!  Attendees will receive a punch card at the door.  After 5 paid events, you get the rest of the calendar year for free!

Exploring the World on Two Wheels.

Adventure riding is on the upsurge as motorcyclists discover that off-the-beaten-track travel is one of the best ways to see Alaska, the Andes, the Alps, the Sahara, the Australian outback, the jungles of West Africa and Southeast Asia and more. Our presenters will talk about what kind of bike to ride, how to get your feet wet regionally, and how to plan out your adventure. We'll talk about paperwork and logistics requirements to get you across borders, and shipping options for your bike. Find out how to live on your motorcycle for a month, a year or more. Get inspiration from the tales, photos and writings of others.  [DOWNLOAD FLYER PDF]
